# Notidian > Notidian is a local-first workspace for writing notes, drawing, and organizing media, PDFs, and files. These guides help agents navigate the application and safely create, read, update, and delete notes with the user's permission. The public website does not expose a user's local workspace. Use the user's authorized application session or explicitly granted local files; these documents do not grant access. Do not invent HTTP note endpoints, automation commands, or workspace URLs. Available controls and permissions depend on the current application and device. Prefer application actions for existing notes, drawings, attachments, renames, moves, and deletion. Direct file editing is suitable for ordinary Markdown only when the user has granted workspace access and concurrent editing has stopped. Preserve original files and unsupported content. Never report success until the requested result has been checked. ## Agent guides - [Navigate Notidian](https://www.notidian.com/agents/navigation.md): Open a workspace, find notes, use the command palette, and locate settings and editing tools. - [Create, read, update, and delete notes](https://www.notidian.com/agents/notes.md): Step-by-step application workflows, safe local-file operations, and save verification. - [Open note file format](https://www.notidian.com/agents/file-format.md): Markdown notes, note bundles, drawing files, original attachments, and preservation rules. ## Optional - [Documentation](https://www.notidian.com/docs): Human-readable application help. - [Download](https://www.notidian.com/download): Application availability and installation information. - [Privacy](https://www.notidian.com/privacy): Privacy information; never upload private workspace content just to follow these guides.
